I have family members in different states (Tx, Fl, Mi) claiming that many students and staffs at their children's schools are sick because of covid. A lot of parents were happy that schools are finally opened again, but now that delta is here many schools are forced to shut down due to the high transmission rate. This means we're not moving forward, but backward instead (to the beginning of 2020). Those who live or don't live in states that ban mask mandates in schools, what are your thoughts on this? Would you feel safe sending your kids to school knowing that others are not vaccinated or not wearing a mask?

I just want to hear honest opinions, not arguments please.
