I am 30 weeks a first time momma and I was originally due October 27 but due to my blood pressure they want to induce me october 18th. I am nervous I don’t know what to expect or what the process is. Please share your experience and what they did from the start to finish!!

Got induced with my first and it wasn't that bad, I was in labor for about 15 hours (because I was trying to go natural) but after I got the epidural everything went super quickly

I got induced at 34 weeks due to severe pre eclampsia. I unfortunately did not have a good experience, I was on magnesium (makes you feel flu like symptoms) for 48 hours before labor was induced with pitocin. I continued to stay on magnesium and pitocin and no epidural until 6cm. Unfortunately baby’s heart rate was not handling this well so I got an epidural and that didn’t help either so I ended up being rushed in for a c section. I had some bad blood pressure issues after the c section as well and had to be put on magnesium for 24 more hours. I wasn’t allowed to get out of bed to visit my baby in the nicu during this time either. My advice is to go ahead and plan for a longer hospital stay before and after baby. Bring your own comfy gowns (honestly 3-4) and depends for after birth. Also some fuzzy socks, a fan, and your own pillow and blanket. You can do this, advocate for yourself and make sure you ask your nurses whatever questions because they’re there to help you 💕

I’ve had two inductions. Both went wonderfully.
Both less than 12 hours from start to finish. 
The first induction (first pregnancy) pushed for maybe around 30-45 min?
The 2nd induction (was my third pregnancy) I pushed for 20 minutes.
I honestly loved getting induced.
When I went into labor with my second I felt so panicked and in a rush. Being induced was calm and I knew everything that was going to happen next. I would get induced again if offered when I get pregnant with my 4th.

Hope for the best and prepare for the “worst” (it’s not the worst honestly). A lot of people have wonderful inductions, but you’re also at a higher risk for a c-section. So do your research and know what to expect, just in case! I had an induction turn into a c-section and wasn’t prepared mentally at all. Sending you love and encouragement.
