Summer baby clothes?

Don’t get me wrong i appreciate it when people give us things!! But I just had my baby shower and we got a bunch of summer outfits or plain short sleeve onsies for our baby that will be born in late October- Early November. I don’t want to return any of it because It feels rude but like my baby needs long sleeves and pants 😭 anyone else having this issue?

Depends on the size, if it’s anything 6-9 months and up I would probably keep it. Anything smaller I’d return and get other things I needed or wait until the fall stuff comes out. It’s hard because right now they only have summer stuff available and everyone loves to buy baby clothes without thinking logically. The shift to fall/winter should be happening soon.

I just had this happen to me at my baby shower a couple weeks back. If they’re around the 6-9m mark then I would keep them because that’ll be around the age the baby will be next summer. If you have receipts then I would just return them or exchange them for more appropriate clothes for the season or baby supplies you haven’t gotten around to getting yet. If they didn’t give you receipts with them I know that if you have baby consignment stores in your area such as Kid to Kid or Once Upon a Child you can bring those clothes in and use store credit for baby clothes or products at their stores (they end up having good deals and prices as well). I used to feel bad about it as well however it’s not rude- you’re still using their gift in a way to benefit your baby, and most of the time people will not opening it ask about there gift later on. Especially if it’s cold and if they ask about those summer baby clothes. 😂💛

Totally feel ya on this one. I live in Alaska and there will most likely be snow on the ground before this baby is born but it's hard finding long sleeve winter clothes for the baby right now.

Return! I'm on baby 3 and lots of people do this. I had a January baby and I was given multiple newborn shorts etc😕
Don't feel bad, babies are expensive and clothes get destroyed with poop explosions and vomit. Get all the clothes you actually need

I feel like u but it would have been nice if they gave u summer clothes that where farther along than 0-3 months hopefully u received some gift cards so u can get some winter clothes.

Yes, people seem to buy whatever they like without considering the age and weather! My mother has sent me a few baby outfits that are for summer weather when it’ll be winter, and winter weather items for when it’ll be hot. You can always try to exchange them for at least store credit if you know where that particular brand is sold.

Later them, return them or regift them. Trust me; you will never have enough clothes in the first 3 months when they puke/poop on everything multiple times per day 😂
