Where do you place the car seat of a newborn?

Ladies, what’s the correct way to put a car seat ? Which side of the car, left, right or middle and why ? Also, do you sit in the back with them ?

It actually depends on a lot of things. 
1. What manual says. 
And 
2. The car itself. 
Our manual said middle but the middle seat of my truck is not safe for a carseat. It's not normal size of a seat. And if it's a middle seat that also bumps up, that's not safe either. So we picked the drivers side so that way if I needed to stop baby was directly right there, or if I was passenger I could easily reach over.

Your car manual should tell you the best place.  I am putting mine in the passenger side though because the only way I can fit the seats in and one of my teenagers is to put my 2 year old’s seat in the middle 🤦‍♀️
And no, I don’t sit in the back with my babies but I do the bulk of the driving

Just got a travel system. On thr pamphlet it says the safest place for an infant in a car seat is in the middle.

It depends on the vehicle. For my SO’s, mom’s, and sister’s vehicles, all the books tell us to have the car seat passenger side. My SO’s old truck was the middle tho. 🤷🏽‍♀️

They say the center of the back seat is safest but since I’ll have another child in the back the car seat will probably go behind me so I can easily hand things to my bigger kid to give the baby if needed. And no, I won’t ride in the back. I get car sick and also think it’s unnecessary.
