Delta variant- anyone had it?

Has anyone had this new strain and survived? This one seems to be running around like crazy and seems like everyone has gotten it. It seems like all I’m hearing is people dying from it. Do you have a success story?

If everyone was dying from it, we'd have a much higher death toll. It is suppose to be way more transmissible than the original Covid '19 as its a mutation. But I'm sure there are plenty of people dealing with and surviving it, purely by the #'s

No but it’s supposedly no more deadly than the original strain. It’s just way more transmissible so that’s why it’s spreading like wildfire.

While it is more transmissible, research does not show it to be more deadly. This doesn’t mean it’s not deadly for unvaccinated people. It very much can be. Just no more so than the wild type virus.

My child’s teacher and a classmate. I mean, I guess I don’t know if that’s the specific variant they got, but they’re currently ill and that’s what’s going around.
