Whats it like dating a cop..?

Ive recently met this really fine man, he’s a cop. I have never dated anyone from the criminal justice field. I am just wondering if anyone can share their personal experience dating these men. 
Also, do they have access to go through your phone, location(like address) & records like that? Privacy is my only concern …that’s why I ask.

Yes they have access to it, but just like medical providers, they should only access it if it is related to their job. If they are caught accessing information that is not relevant to their assignments, it can lead to disciplinary action.

It varies the line of law-enforcement that they are in, my brother is Secret Service, but he’s not the type of position where he needs to wear a bulletproof vest on the daily, he’s in an office, he manages the entire office because he’s a senior agent, he’s never been in the type of position that he had to pull his fire arm or anything like that, when you’re dating a cop, it depends where you live, if you live in Compton, Camden, Chicago, or a place that’s high risk for crime and shootings and drugs etc. then obviously he’s at a higher risk for you being concerned about his safety, if he’s living in Mayberry middle of the boonies, somewhere somewhere that is in the middle of nowhere that you don’t have to worry about anything, I wouldn’t be concerned, because their safety isn’t an issue, if you mean you’re concerned about if he’s gonna come home at night, or he’ll be calling the hospitals I’m concerned about his welfare, that’s a different story. As a cop, he has access to background check obviously he has access to a lot of things. But it’s supposed to be a court order to tap someone’s phone, but if you have to think about that, then you probably shouldn’t be with him or you have stuff to hide. I have nothing to hide, I’ve never deleted anything on my phone, my past is my past. And my partner knows everything about me, I’ve dated a cop before I had no issue. I never had to think that he was going to tap my phone or wire my car or anything like that or have any issue that I would have to be even thinking that that would be happening. Because you’re already starting out on a bad foot thinking either you have trust issues or he has trust issues. When I was with the cop, my concern was more for his well-being and his welfare if he was going to come home at night, and it also depends what kind of coffee is if he’s in narcotics, or he’s just sitting at evidence intake and is an out on the street, and sitting at a desk, you don’t have to worry about his safety. It all depends on the situation I don’t think your safety is the concern or his safety, I think it’s more you’re concerned about your privacy, and if this person is going to be snooping through your life etc., but if you’re going into it thinking that, you were already starting off on a bad foot. Or if you’re thinking he has psychological issues like PTSD or overly stressed or takes out his anger and rage on you, that’s a totally other situation you may have to deal with. Like when people go to the military and they come back, you don’t know what you’re gonna come back with either the military makes you a better person or worst person. I have no issue dating a cut myself. But it sounds like you’re already making it an issue, so maybe it’s not the best idea for you￼￼￼￼
