Having a court order is always the best choice for both parties. It's a legal amount that a third party monitors.
No one can go and say they weren't paid when they were. No one can say they were over paying and deserve backpay if they weren't. 
Legal action is taken if someone decides to go back on their agreement of paying. 
It protects all parties.

In my opinion yes. Because he faithfully did what he needed for his kids. Now if he were sporadic and not willing to help then court is the way to go.
If you can EFFECTIVELY coparent without the courts do so. If you cannot even get along for shit then use the courts. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Depends, was she doing it to try to get more?  If so, yes. Was she doing it to protect them both, no, it was the right thing to do.

If he was able to give her 450$ without issue, and she was spending that on the child or expenses for the 2 of them (rent, utilities, groceries, etc) yes, he’s wrong and petty. Who cares if she thought she was gonna get more, kids are expensive AF. I would give my child everything I can afford to give them and more.
