He just keeps shrugging

I made a post about 2 hours ago about finding a bag hidden in the laundry room filled with my 14 yo step sons underwear. It had a lot of blood. Like if you wake up in the morning and realize you started your period blood. In 5 pairs. He just got back from a summer with his mom in El Salvador. Well I sat him down and asked about the bloody underwear. He just looked at his feet and shrugged. I asked did he hurt himself and he shrugged. I asked did something happen. Shrugged again. I said maybe we should go to the doctor and he said no and walked away. Idk what to do. Do I call my husband. He's in a whole nother state for work and won't be back until SUNDAY.

Edit: Okay I'm not "just his step mother". I've known him since he was 17 months. The reason I'm questioning calling my husband is because he will panic and leave his work to come back and most likely lose his job.

@Jess I've been wanting him to get another job because this people are the LEAST understanding. You can call saying you got into a car accident and gave a concussion and they will sat, well we need you so..

@J me ad his dad just got off the phone. He's on his way back and I'm gonna explain to him why I have to take him to the hospital, but I'm what me being a step parent has to do with anything and why you keep mentioning that I'm a step parent. Maybe I'm misunderstanding but I feel like you're saying I'm not important because I'm a step parent. Me and my step sin have a great relationship. But I will update you ladies later.
