When did you write out your birth plan?

I'm only 26 weeks and don't want to get too ahead of myself lol. So, when is a good time to write it? And what did yours look like?

My birth plan was, get an epidural asap & get baby out safely. No i didn't write it down. LOL

Birth plans are a waste of time. Docs aren’t going to spend the time reading them and remembering what each individual patient wants. Not to mention that birth plans go out the window in an emergency. The best birth plan you can have is to just be flexible and then be vocal and your own advocate in the moment about what you want and don’t want

It’s kinda useless. You can have your support team be aware of your wishes, but at the end of the day baby will come any way they want and safety for you both is the most important thing. 
With my first I wanted to go natural, have my music on, my candles lit, practicing my breathing and stretches, sit in the bath… LOL yea that was cute, ended up in an emergency C-section. You never know 🤷‍♀️

I didn’t. My plan is always the same every single time. 
1) don’t die (being a black woman this is my primary fear)
2) epidural
3) request a mirror so I can see.

I wrote one, but it was more along the lines of what interventions I was okay with for me and baby and what I wasn't. It basically said, I would like to try for a natural birth, but I am open to specific interventions if needed. I was induced for baby's safety, which I was fine with. I mentioned no episiotomies as the body heals better with natural tearing, no vacume, no forceps. I said yes to eye drops, the K shot, and a circumcision is the baby ended up being a boy. I mentioned that I wanted baby wiped off before skin to skin and wanted a bath for baby as soon as possible. They refused to bathe baby until 16 hours later and I will be fighting it this next time as it's my choice for MY child. I mentioned I was fine with an epidural, but wanted to try to go natural. It was more of a list of this is what I'm okay with, this is what I'm not. It was a list that would help guide everyone on my wishes incase something happened to where I couldn't respond.  I plan to do the same with this baby. A list of yes to this and no to that.

i had only two rules 1. NO episiotomy 2. i didn’t want my baby put on me until he was cleaned off and i delivered the placenta

I wrote one. I was very pleased with it, but I had a Frank breach baby, so with the c-section, I had to scrap a lot of it. I still took it with me and handed it to the nurses. I had already given my OB a copy.

At my 28 week appt my dr gave me a folder of information which contained a birth plan layout for me to check off what I preferred. I also received one at a Lamaze class I took as well. Im almost 34 weeks now and haven’t completed them yet. I plan to soon though so I can go over it at my next appt. I have some specific things that I dont want done so I will be writing an actual plan.

I didn't have one, I've had 3 babies and every labour different. My only thing is no epidural
