Advice on makeup - where to begin?!

Was always such a Tom boy growing up. Never followed girly stuff and so never learnt how to apply makeup or how to make myself look girly and now I’m really regretting it. Bad breakup earlier this year, mother to two under three and I just want to feel better when I look in the mirror. Any advice on where I could start to learn? Like makeup for complete idiots?! Makeup that’s easy to learn with? Foolproof ideas? Any advice about where to even begin would be gratefully received thanks guys!
