How many weeks am I?

I recently found out I am pregnant and have been tracking it through the app. Today I started my new week and the app told me that I am now 5 weeks pregnant but when I’m looking at the calendar it says 4 weeks can someone please explain to me why this is? Thank you

Pregnancy weeks are counted by the end of a set of 7 days so at 4 weeks you have finished 4 completed weeks. By 4+1 you’re already working on your week 5. Maybe that’s where the confusion is coming in? They’ll date you for sure at your first scan.

You go based off your last period. When you see your doctor they will give you a due date.
