How close is implanation bleeding to period?

How close to your period due date does implantation bleeding start? My period is due in 3 days but today i wiped and got tan color almost brown. This has never happened as usually i only get pink/light red spotting.

You'll just have to wait and see. 
I only ever had implantation bleeding once with my very first pregnancy. Although it wasn't really bleeding. It was just a few pink specks of blood on the tissue when I wiped. I wasn't planning that pregnancy but I remember being surprised to see my period start early. Only it didn't start haha. It was just those few specks that once when wiping. A week later I took a pregnancy test. 
With all my others I didn't have implantation bleeding. With the twins I bleed at 13dpo and thought it was a misscarriage but it was a subchorionic hematoma. I still ended up miscarrying at 9 weeks though
