My best friend had a little girl 2 weeks ago and I admit I was so jealous. Hubby told me he didn't want anymore kids (we have one little boy) and I have been wanting a little girl so bad. Well 8 weeks ago we find out I'm 4 weeks pregnant. My friend and I are very close so we talk about the pregnancy almost everyday and that we both hope it's a girl. She made the comment that she wanted to be the first friend i told and I told her me and my husband are discussing a gender reveal party. I also told her I'm wanting to find out before the party because if it's another boy I'll be devastated. I hate that she says things like oh you'll be fine or you'll get over it! Yeah, once it's born I will get over it but until then I will be extremely upset to the point I won't enjoy the pregnancy anymore. Why is it so hard for people to understand some of us have our hearts set on a certain gender? Of course I'll be happy with a healthy baby but I WANT a healthy girl!
