I’ve been thinking about this tweet since I saw it a few days ago, and there really seems to be something to it. The first thought that comes into my mind is Hallmark Christmas movies, and how 90% of the plots involve someone returning to and ultimately deciding stay in their small hometown vs how city centric shows tend to be more preoccupied with crime.

I’ve noticed from being in CC for a few years now that urban/rural differences in viewpoint are much more drastic than I previously realized. Is this partly the cause of it? What about internationally, are you getting the same messages reinforced outside the U.S.?
