Slightly Irregular AFP advice

Good Morning everyone!

I recently got the dreaded call from my OB after quad testing at 17 weeks. It seems my AFP is reading at 2.67 (cut off is 2.5). They are saying this could put my little guy at risk of spinabifida. It doesn’t seem much higher than the cut off though. I’ve been reading online and a lot of women seem to say there is a lot of false positives with these tests.

Anyways my OB referred me to a genetic counselor and likely a detailed ultrasound. They haven’t called yet to set up the appointment, and I’m going crazy here!

Anybody had irregular numbers and had it be a-ok?
