Covid… 🥺

Y’all so on 08/26/2021 I got to see my new baby bean and bean was healthy with a heart beat of 131 bpm. The bean measured smaller than my lmp so I am now currently 8 weeks as of yesterday. Also on 08/26/2021 my one year old son had a man acute check with his doctor because he had been running a fever for 3 days and on that third day it wouldn’t break with medicine. He had stridor while crying and coughing, lost his appetite, and was extremely clingy. So I get there and they want to test him for covid before they did I asked if they could test for croup because I have a strong feeling it’s croup also, well they ignored my request and only tested for covid + flu. He came out positive and I am SHOCKED. My husband also had symptoms a few days before so I had him get tested and he tested positive, I also took a test and was negative.

I call all my family that lives with me and tell them immediately so they can come home and tell their employers.

On 08/27/2021 at 2am my son is crying 1.5 hours straight and his doctor told me to try to keep him calm at all times so that way his Oxygen levels stay normal. I did everything changed, undressed him, gave him Tylenol, drinks, put more clothes on him, offered a Snuggie, etc. I finally called the ER informed them

Of what was going on and they said bring him in. I’m at checkin and they ask me questions and my son is crying and hear the stridor. They ask how long it’s been since he had that, I responded 3 days and they get him back immediately. They give him a steroid to open his airways, Motrin to calm him, X-rays of stomach, chest, kidneys, ureter and bladder. They diagnosed him with covid and croup with severe constipation.

Fast forward to 8/28 my mom gets tested and she’s negative thank goodness as she has diabetes!

8/29 my little brother test positive and he’s fully vaccinated and feels like he has the flu with no taste or smell.

8/30 I go and get retested since I’m in close contact with my son… I wait 2 days to get my results back and I open them and they are positive. I am fully vaccinated with the moderna and had no symptoms except a metallic taste in my mouth which I thought was due to my pregnancy bc I had that with my son. I still have my taste and smell. I am worried sick about the baking baby bean and how this covid will affect the baby as I am only 8 weeks along. So if you could please just send me some good vibes or your advice on what any of y’all did pls share.

My hubby and one year old son are doing amazing! My son has his appetite back no fever for 4 days. My husband has his taste and smell back only has a cough.
