Twins?

Okay ladies I have questions since I can’t get into my obgyn because the hurricane hit bad here, I’m two days away from being 7weeks, I’ve gained like 10 pounds and my boobs have gone up a cups size and a half. And I’m already showing.. Could I be having twins? What were/are y’alls symptoms?

Even with twins, less than 5lbs weight gain in the first trimester is normal since your babies would be smaller than a strawberry each. Have you started eating more? I would up your water Intake and make sure you’re exercising 30 minutes a day. Hope the ultrasound goes well!

I was showing at 8 weeks. Didnt have any weight gain because i was extremely sick! Like never before sick. It was crazy but yes i was already showing at 8 weeks. And my friends who are nurses joked "are you sure its not twins" lmaooo thye were right. Im 32 weeks now and beyond done with this pregnancy lolol

I don’t think you’ve actually gain 10lbs (assuming you found out around 3-4 weeks) by 7 weeks. It’s probably water weight and bloat, if it’s actual weight gain your OB might flag it. With my 1st set of twins, I gained 15lbs the whole pregnancy and while I was pregnant with my second set, I had lost 10lbs over those 3.5 months.

Bloat in the first trimester can be intense, but even if there are two babies, they’d be very tiny and still behind your pelvic bone. Typically, with multiples there’s not a big enough to notice size difference from a singleton pregnancy in the first trimester.
