Weird vaginal area itching?

Wondering if anyone could tell me what to do because I’m at a loss: so I went to the doctor for vaginal itching and burning. The weird thing is it’s mostly all up by my clit, or actually my clit IS what itches!! So the doctor did some tests and found I was positive for bacterial vaginosis. She put me on antibiotics and sent me on my way. I’ve been taking them faithfully but the itching and burning of my clitoris isn’t stopping. I’m almost done with my antibiotics. Idk what to do. Why would it be just my clit itching like that? Could there be something else? She tested me for STI’s and yeast infection btw and those were negative.
