Kindergartener sick on bus

So my 5 year old just started school this week and so far puked 2/3 days that he's been on the bus so far. I feel awful for him, so I'm gonna start driving him to school most days. But I can't do it forever, seeing as I'm starting nursing school in March. Hopefully he just grows out of it, but in the meantime, I was wondering if anyone else's child has dealt with this and what they have done to overcome it. I dont wanna have to give him dramamine every day, bc I dont want him being dependant on it.

Side note, he does get car sick in the car sometimes, not every day but maybe once or twice a week, but sometimes every day in a week. Sometimes he'll go 2 months without being sick at all. And when I say he gets carsick, 8 times out of 10 his belly hurts but we are able to make it to our destination without him throwing up. It also seems like he gets sick more so in the morning than in the afternoon.

I just feel at a loss, hoping someone has some insight ☹
