Criticizes my physical appearance

My boyfriend told me to dye my hair ginger red. He said it would look nice on me. I originally was the one that suggested it but then he became extremely persistent and said I had to do it. I told him "I don't have to do anything." So I didn't do it. We broke up for a few days and I decided to dye it for myself. He saw my stories and fast foward we worked everything out and got back togethor. He liked it bleached, but not ginger red (the exact shade he recommended!) He said I looked like a Trans (I'm a woman.) Now he's telling me to dye it silver or Cajun red. It seems like me refusing to dye is getting him mad...

One of our issues is he says I don't get out of my comfort zone dressing extremely nice and don't change my look. I do admit I do need to change and work on my look (other ppl say I look pretty, he's just the only one that disagrees..) but I don't like how it feels as if he is trying to change me...

Once he made a comment saying "I only date pretty girls, you're the only average girl I have dated..." He said he was playing but I don't think he was. He makes a lot of comment here and there judging my physical appearance.

I want to dye my hair golden brown or chestnut and he said "no! It looks similar to your hair. What's the point of that!"
