On and off spotting for 4 days-period due tomorrow. Should I take a test??

Hi all I started spotting what would have been 8 or 9 dpo. I expected it to get heavier and my period start but it has gotten. Lighter to where it's stopped today. My period is due tomorrow so this seams strange to me. Should I take a test or wait it out? Has anyone else had this happen and turned out you were pregnant? Thanks in advance!!

I'm dealing with a similar situation. Had a weird cycle with late ovulation then around 9 to 10 dpo I started spotting. Spotted for 2.5 days then nothing since Monday. I was supposed to start yesterday or today but so far nothing. I just took a First response test and while there seems to be something there you definitely have to squint to see it and I know these are bad for indents so trying not to get my hopes up. I would also think it would be darker by now since I am either 14 or 15 dpo at this point. I fully expect AF to come any day now and am trying to keep expectations low though 
Bottom line, I don't have an answer but you aren't alone and I hope someone can shed good news on the situation.
