Startle reflex

😭😭😭 I CANNOT wait for this to go away. Baby boy startles himself awake so damn much. All day and all night. He’s 11 weeks old as of today and hasn’t been swaddled in at least a month. Just in the last few days this has become a problem. Every time it happens he cries and whines, sometimes for a few seconds and goes right back to sleep, sometimes enough he needs to be soothed. This mama is exhausted. I really hope he starts sleeping better before I go back to work next month. For everyone’s sake.

I feel so bad for him, today was a really bad day with it. He got maybe two 30 min naps in where he didn’t startle himself awake. He’s such a tired boy today. I didn’t have this as bad with my daughter. I’ll definitely be dreaming of sleep and coffee tonight.
