Hi there!

Soo

My kid is 13 months (and some fluf) and will be/should be going to school by about 30 months of age (2,5 yo) so kindergarten.

And we're really interested in this school that will move into our street next schoolyear.

It's methodic schooling and we're really supporting the visions of the school (I read the entire 29 page brochure and several public articles about it). Maybe a bit more ecological than we would at home but I personally definitely don't mind that my kid grows up with these values.

They're a really small school and have every intention to stay this small.

So a mother of the school (who talked very praisingly about the school, wished she had chosen this school from the start for her eldest, they came quite a distance too to come to this school) told me that maybe I should get my child already listed to be going there when he's school ready, maybe check with the principal.

But their website doesn't really allow to enroll kids of his "year" yet..

So I guess what I'm asking is, should I meet with the school now (as the parent advised) and ask if I can enroll our kid to start in 2023 (even though their website doesn't allow it yet) or wait until like a public day to talk to some people there, check out the school (for which the actual buildings won't matter because they're going to switch locations) before I enroll my kid, or I should just wait until I can on their website and just do it when I can, with the possibility of being put on a waiting list or being rejected? I don't know how much attention this school will be having but they have had the European commission visit them (and they seriously praised it into the heavens) because they are kind of unique in their vision, which I guess would also scare some parents for being too "alternative"

I don't know... I'm kind of scared to take this initiative... But I guess that's a "me" problem 🤔
