For anyone questioning getting vaccinated
I want to share my story for those who are still on the fence about getting vaccinated. I have had Covid back in May and plan on getting vaccinated just waiting out my 3 month period. My 6 year old tested positive only after being in school for a week. We do get out and go places so I honestly can't say for sure whether he got it at school or not. His initial symptoms were fever and a headache. After a few days the congestion and cough started. He was also very fatigued. He was sock for a total of 8 days and it was a rough journey. During that time my husband started not feeling well. At first just low grade fever, cough and congestion. Then he started having chills, diarrhea, sweating, fatigue and was complaining about his back hurting. I finally got him to go to an urgent care. They did not Covid test him but did an x-ray and discovered double pneumonia. They gave him an antibiotic shot, an oral antibiotic & an inhaler. Two days later I was calling an ambulance because he was having trouble breathing. He was admitted to the hospital just for over night monitoring and oxygen. It went downhill from there. He was on 90% oxygen because his bottom lungs were collapsing. His heart rate sky rocketed to 200 and he was in AFIB. We almost lost him. He spent 9 days in the hospital. He is came home a few days ago with 5% oxygen and is still weak. My husband is a healthy 38 year old man and it took a toll on his body He will tell you the news doesn't do justice on how bad this really is. My home has been through hell these last few weeks. Getting vaccinated is what everyone should do. I understand some people can't get vaccinated due to medical conditions. I have one family member who's doctor instructed them the vaccine wasn't a good idea because of their medical issues. I just wanted to share our story for those still questioning. This virus is deadly.
