Need a listening ear and to vent a bit …. My husband I were invited to one his best friends wedding in Mexico at the end of Sept. My mother in law would have come from NY and was watching the kids for us.

My husband and I haven’t had a vacation in a long time, especially with 2 under 2. My oldest is 2 and my second son is 7 months. I wanted to get a break and go away with him so bad.

My husband is still going but I decided not to go for a few reasons.

- getting Covid bring it back to kids

-getting Covid and testing positive on the PCR test required to get back to US and being stuck there without the kids in quarantine until we are cleared!

Little back story, I was pregnant in Feb 2020, got a very bad cold and miscarried, doctors can’t explain the cause for the blighted ovum/miscarriage. That caused a lot of anxiety for me around Covid and I was in super quarantine mode for a long time until it got better. They think we could have gotten Covid but it was earlier in pandemic.

I’m now fully back into quarantine mode now since the cases are bad in FL. Not vaccinated as I’m breastfeeding and I’m not 100% sure on that yet.

Side note: he also attended the bachelor party for a few days in Texas in June

The closer it gets the angrier I am and more resentful. Of course I want him to be happy,be with his friends, and not miss it. But I’m resentful I get zero breaks, don’t have any family that can help (they are very exposed to Covid on a daily) and he seems to be getting so much time away.

I am very concerned about him getting extremely sick and not handling it well. The worst obviously goes through my head

He won’t get vaccinated and has no health insurance 😞 when he returns he is quarantining for 7 days and testing to make sure he is cleared. If he gets sick he is away from us until he is better and worse if he gets stuck in Mexico.

I don’t want to have this tension with my husband but I can’t wrap my head around this.

He can continue to work because he works from home. So I’m total he will be gone a couple of days for wedding then quarantine, around 2 weeks away from us.
