My husband thinks that my mom should be in the room while giving birth but honestly I'm only comfortable with my husband being in the room. Is it selfish of me to think giving birth and those first few moments should only be between baby, my husband and I? I'm barely even comfortable with a doc or nurse I barely know being there during the whole process but I don't have a choice with that one obviously. I've asked around and none of my friends or coworkers had anyone but their spouse. Opinions?
