Had my retrieval yesterday and retrieved 23 eggs. 14 were mature day of and the embryologist said 2 were a day behind but there would be a max of 21 mature. I was still coming out of anesthesia so didn’t ask questions but I was a little confused by this. How long can eggs mature outside of the body? I keep fluctuating back and forth between being super excited and hopeful and scared to death that we won’t have any normal embryos. This is my first cycle.
