Visiting newborn?

Has anyone else made any decisions about visitors and the new baby? We’ve decided so far that we won’t be allowing in-person visits (video calls are welcome though) for unvaccinated people when baby is born at least until he has his first few rounds of vaccines. 
We’re thinking probably the first couple visits we will require everyone to be masked too, and depending on how everything goes possibly limit visits for the first couple months at least. 
My partner and I are fully vaccinated and already have practices in place to protect our 2 year old, but are probably going to be stepping it up even more with a newborn if something drastic doesn’t change in our area in the next couple months. 
I’m really curious what everyone else is doing though. What are your thoughts? What are some things you are planning or thinking about with your baby in February?

We’ve decided to have zero visitors. Just like we did with our first, in 2019. Vaccinated or not, the first while before jabs are pretty vulnerable. RSV or the flu are deadly to tiny babies. With it being February, it’s a hard no for us. Video calls are cool. Once spring rolls around, we’ll visit fully vaccinated family who we know take the pandemic seriously. That being said, we don’t have a whole lot of family, but even if we did, it wouldn’t change anything.

I already have a rule that unvaccinated people aren’t allowed in my home. Everyone in my family, including grandparents are vaccinated. We are also considering requesting negative tests too. We will really only be allowing in person visits from grandparents, everyone else can wait until the baby is a bit older. I’ve already discussed this with my friends and family and nobody has a problem with it. Everyone who cares about us understands that covid could be life threatening to the newborn and to our 2 year old so understands and agrees with my rules.

I think this is a good idea and to be honest I wish I would have done this with my first. So many people that I hardly ever saw before came over or wanted to visit and I was struggling as a new mom and felt like I had to entertain people who were not helpful. Now with COVID I'm thinking definitely no visitors. Maybe my mom who is vaccinated and that's it. Many if my friends and family don't care now to be present so why all of a sudden to see a vulnerable baby. 
On another note. No kissing the baby either. My boyfriends family kept kissing my daughter and I finally said something and everyone made me feel like I was being absolutely ridiculous. They had never heard of RSV before and thought I was just being controlling. Now that I'm older, I am definitely going to hold my ground and stick up for myself. My daughter got RSV and had to be hospitalized at 4 months old. Scariest thing ever.

No one is gonna see out baby for a while. Only the people in my home will see the baby when born. I don't really have family. My husband's family hangs out with people and goes out to places. I don't trust that.

No visitors for the first couple of weeks. After that No unvaccinated visitors period. Vaccinated visitors can come over and may need to wear a mask, haven’t decided yet.

Covid is very serious & im not risking my babies life for anyone. No visitors at all until pass 12 weeks at least, maybe longer, and they must be masked the whole visit & vaccinated. Until then I just prefer everyone to video chat or get pictures.

We won’t be allowing any unvaccinated people around our newborn. We have a 2.5 year old and are both fully vaccinated but don’t want to risk it with a newborn and our son.
