Does walking help to induce labour?

I did rest a lot the last weeks of my pregnancy. Now I wonder if that's the reason why my contractions aren't starting.

Answer

Resting is good, it can help prepare your body for labour too. Walking helps to get baby further down in your pelvis and puts pressure on your cervix which can help speed up the process of getting to labour. 
Curb walking can really help, as can sitting on a yoga ball and bouncing. Check out the miles circuit.

I walked and walked and walked and walked some more with my second kid and he didn't come out until 40+4 baby's come when they are ready
