Baby progressing physically but maybe not mentally?

Hi, bubs is now 6 months old and can crawl and sit up by himself however in not sure I’m seeing much mental development. He doesn’t wave or clap at all m, he blabbers but doesn’t use hard consonants, and he doesn’t dance. Should I be concerned? How are your babies progressing mentally? He laughs and smiles and looks at and tries to grab everything, but he won’t even attempt to clap or wave and I’m starting to worry. Should I be concerned? In the process of switching pediatricians so won’t be at his 6 month appointment for at least another week.
