Car exhaust fumes

I’m 35 weeks pregnant and my car just emits strong exhaust fumes after running a few minutes. Well I had my windows down to talk to my kids before I left and it was so strong and I breathed them for about a minute. I’m worried about baby and any effects it could have on lo. Any input from anyone would be greatly appreciated because I’m worried.
