My husband wants to birth in a different hospital than planned.

Originally I wanted to go to the best hospital. With having a history of miscarriages and preeclampsia, I have been worried.this is the hospital I’ve Been going to my appointments at, but a different office than the birthing center for the last 33 weeks. I know this hospital is the place that babies are sent to if they have to go in the NICU from other hospitals cause they’re the best at care of newborns. This place is 40 minutes from home and the reason why hubby doesn’t want to go here because it’s in a busy town that’s confusing and he has a severe fear of elevators. L&D is on fourth floor. We were 25 minutes late to an ultrasound because we got so confused on directions around the hospital and locked doors. They are strict with covid regulations and require me to mask up and restrict how much hubby can leave. Instead he wants to go to the little hospital in our hometown. 20 minutes away. This place has a real bad rep with their emergency department, but nothing bad about L&D. My friend works here and also wants to deliver my baby. There’s no elevators here. After researching this place I learned that they only have 3 rooms with bath tubs because they only have 3 real L&D rooms and if they’re occupied I won’t have one. The hospital is small and everything fits into one floor. They’re more relaxed on restrictions with covid but still cautious and don’t require us to mask up. The chair my hubby will sleep in folds out to a bed but if the doctors need in there then they have to move it out cause room is small. What’s your thoughts? I’m struggling because my hubby has been begging me to not go to the hospital with the elevator and confusing directions.
