Is evening primrose oil safe during pregnancy?

All of my friends are telling me to take one pill every night vaginally. I have done it for about 3 nights now. I’m almost 39 weeks pregnant. Have you tried this?? Does it help? What are the benefits?

I took it orally once a day for a few weeks with my first pregnancy at the recommendation of my provider. She was a happy healthy baby, uncomplicated birth. I have since read that it's no longer recommended so I didn't use it for my 2nd. You are probably fine, I wouldn't freak out. But it couldn't hurt to mention it to your provider at your next appointment or call them to ask questions in the meantime.

I used to take it prior to pregnancy to help with my cycle but stopped during pregnancy as I don’t think it is recommended….

Absolutely not! You risk your baby having a bm in the womb which can kill them.
