Has anyone else had to get steroid shots to mature baby’s lungs if so why?

I fell on my belly and had contractions but they stopped and I didn’t dilate so we are doing okay because it’s WAYYYYY too soon for her.

Update I’m having bigger contractions and constant lower back pain ALL of today contractions are about 5-7 minutes apart if not every 10. I go to LnD tomorrow at 7am for my shot and my OB app is at 11:50 so just trying to survive the pain till then. (I did let my OB know about the pain)
