Should I be receiving this on my paycheck?

My employment offer states my hourly and continues to say “plus ___ stipend.” Am I supposed to be seeing the stipend on my paychecks? I noticed my first 2 paystubs haven’t had it listed. I don’t know if I’m understanding the concept of a stipend. I plan on messaging HR regarding this, but wanted to get some input. Thank you.

Your HR department is the only one who can answer this. We have no idea what you do and how you’re supposed to be paid.

It depends how that's categorized. It may not appear on the check biweekly but rather be issued bimonthly or quarterly alone. It could also be something paid out of petty cash. 
Call HR. Every company is different.
