I have this hotel room booked for my boyfriend and I’s anniversary, he and I have talked it through and have decided we want to take the opportunity to lose our virginities. I do have condoms (I plan on buying some lube too just incase) and I am on birth control, so other than the usual basics, what should I know about sex before I have it?

Don't expect fireworks and explosions. The first time is awkward and fumbling around. Just have fun. Take your time. Foreplay is important. Just use this time to bond and get to know each others bodies. Talk about boundaries and what you are and aren't willing to do/try. Dont be afraid to stop or take it slow or say this isnt what I want right now if you change your mind.
