Changed OB?

Has anyone changed their doctor? I kinda just randomly chose one and I don’t like them at all. Out of 3 appointments, I have only seen a doctor once and the rest was an NP. The doctor, I didn’t like and the NP has a terrible bedside manner. I feel like I’m just a number and all they want to do is get me out of there. They have asked me probably 5 times if it’s my first pregnancy. If anyone has changed, how did you find a new doctor?

Change if you dont feel comfortable! There are so many amazing drs out there who will take their time with you and answer your questions.  My original obgyn brushed aside my questions and I always felt I was just a number to her. I didnt feel like she knew me at all after years of seeing her. I switched to a dr who owns his own practice (not part of a group) and it was so worth it! Its definitely worth it to just interview different drs to see who might be a better fit for you 😊

I'm changing because I'm moving, and wouldn't think twice about finding a new provider if I were experiencing what you're describing! I'd say go for it. People switch at all points in pregnancy, and you can be sure your current OB and NP aren't going to get any better, so might as well see what else is out there. Good luck!

I’m switching next month because I moved and have new insurance. A little inconvenient when you are waiting on insurance and are supposed to be having anatomy scan and everything else around the same time 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yep! I have! Changed at 30 weeks with my first born!

I will be watching this upcoming month because my new insurance will become active I will be going in this Wednesday for my 3rd appointment and I hated since my last pregnancy

With my first I switched at 34 weeks because I moved. This pregnancy I switched in the very very beginning. I went to my first appointment and to my 2 bloodwork appointments for HCG while I waited for my new ob and I absolutely love them. I’d say go for it!!

Ask women that you know with children who they prefer and go from there. My last OB treated me the same, it was in a larger city and they saw a ton of patients. I had the worst labor and delivery and switched this time to a dr from my hometown who is the sweetest soul alive
