What do y’all think about this?

Just curious what the general thoughts are on this? Is there any worry? What do you think will be the end result? Do you think it should only be passed with the provision? Will it have a much larger impact due to the state of the nation currently (eviction moratoriums ending, less people working, etc)?
I will delete this post if it gets out of hand, or turns into a Trump vs. Biden thing, bc that’s not really what this is about. Let’s just keep on topic, please.

I wish they’d get their shit together before federal employees work without pay or are sent home without pay. Sure, they get back paid, but that doesn’t help when your bills are due NOW. 
It’s both parties fault. 
When I worked at a credit union, we gave out emergency, 0% interest loans during these times. It started as a military credit union so I wasn’t surprised. 
We should suspend THEIR pay. Maybe they’d come to an agreement faster.

We have to raise the debt ceiling. It’s for spending we’ve already done. It’s either that, or economic collapse. It’s just a matter of how long Mitch and his boys want to play obstructionist politics.

I find it embarrassing. We have so many resources, intelligent economists, decades of data and it always comes down to these ridiculous power plays to fluff up feathers and seem impressive to the voter base.

This happens, like, every year or so until both sides can go ahead and agree on a way forward. We had shutdowns under the previous administrations as well. It’s not anything new, and has been happening like clockwork for years and years.

The debt ceiling needs to be raised. And from everything I’ve heard and read, the Republicans are the ones causing the issue right now. Our political leaders are so busy doing the most so that they can do they very least to help each other, and they just aren’t caring what damage it can cause to our economy, the working class and low income families. Keep in mind the government can close for up to 30 or 35 days. That means thousands of people without pay and no CTC payments. We all know the debt ceiling was raised during the Trump administration, so I don’t understand what the issue is now. Other than each side is trying to make it more difficult for the other side... they need to stop doing this Democrats vs Republicans bullshit and just help their fucking people.

The government is going to shut down in a few days (I think regardless of what they do). I work on a military base; we were having open interviews for various civilian healthcare positions but the hiring process has frozen because we are a federal entity. Positions won’t be filled or open back up until this is resolved. 
I am not the most politically aware person. I try to keep up but at times it’s beyond me. I don’t have a very educated answer, but I do have a bad feeling that the US is in a downward economic spiral and I fear what is going to happen.
