No doctor at 38 weeks??

So my last appointment was 9/24 at 37 weeks 1 day. I was told I was going to start being seen once a week. I waited for my next appointment that day but was told they would call me with it. So that was a Friday. Now it is Tuesday and I haven't heard anything. I plan to call tomorrow but when I was at the office I overheard the nurses talking and they said all doctors were overbooked until mid-novemeber. So of course I am worried that they won't see me. Last time I tried to reschedule and I had told them when the doctor wanted to see me, they told me they wouldn't be able to schedule me until mid-October so they don't really work with you and they're kind of rude. If anything I plan to call the doctor I was seeing in the beginning of my pregnancy to hopefully at least be seen by someone if they aren't too booked out. I'm not high risk but I am trying for a vbac which is why I am seeing these specific doctors. I've had all my tests done and was told they would just check how I am feeling and the heartbeat so nothing too major. I'm stressed.
