Licensed insurance agent

Hi everyone 😊

Looking for some advice. I started working at this insurance agency in May of this year. I got fully licensed in Property & Casualty in July so I got a $2 raise. The raise was nice, but I still feel like I’m not making what I should be making as a licensed insurance agent. I get no commission where I’m at (which can be a good and bad thing depending on how much new business you bring in) I’m just at my flat rate. But because of Covid, McDonald’s workers and several other jobs are making just as much as I am being a licensed agent. Not hating on those jobs but those used to be start at minimum wage jobs.

I’m looking into getting licensed in life & health as well, and I highly doubt my manager will give me a raise for it, but I definitely feel like it makes me more valuable.

I don’t like change, and my boss is pretty flexible with my daughter and such, but I feel like I need to start searching for a job elsewhere. I KNOW there is so much more $ to be made in insurance work, I just need to talk myself into changing lol

Any advice or tips are appreciated ☺️
