Brown discharge, red, brown again.

8weeks pregnant. yesterday I had some brown discharge twice, went through the rest of the night with nothing else so figured it was ok. I actually went ahead and had sex last night, but woke up with some bright red blood. Not too much but still. Now it’s afternoon and it’s back to brown discharge. Is this normal? Been trying to get a hold of after hours drs have to wait until tomorrow (Sunday) would an Emergency Room give me an ultrasound when I called they say it wasn’t guaranteed the dr there has to wanna do it.
