When do you tell everyone?

Hello everyone :) , 
I'm recently engaged and we found out that I'm pregnant last week Thursday. We are over the moon and of course I'm a bit nervous... I don't  know when or how to tell our family and friends. I feel like I might somehow jinx our pregnancy if I tell anyone or I might by not telling everyone because I'm planning for failure. Anyone going through any similar feelings or better yet does anyone have some advice?... I'll take anything!

I’ve really struggled with when to tell everyone. We have a healthy 9 year old daughter but lost our first son last year at 22 weeks and then our second son this year in May at 22 weeks as well. We did not want to tell anyone, but as we get a little further along we have changed our attitude a bit. We have decided that we don’t want to hide our pregnancy, we want to celebrate it. Whether it ends the way we hope or not, we know that we will need that support. So, all of that being said, we are announcing tonight. I am a little over 12 weeks.

When we found out we were having our daughter we told our parents the same day we found out and siblings within a week. We told our friends after the first scan in week 12. 
We found out that I’m pregnant with number two last Wednesday and we haven’t told anyone yet. Feels cozy to have a little secret just for ourselves, but we’re thinking about telling our families in two weeks. ☺️

I know it feels like you may “jinx” it but in reality whether you choose to share or not has no bearing on the outcome of the pregnancy. I thought about who I would want support from if I were to miscarry, and/or who I wanted to be able to ask questions during those nervous early weeks of pregnancy. I also thought about who I would NOT want to have to tell if I miscarried (my in-laws, grandparents) and kept it from them until things felt more certain (about 12 weeks). If you tell some and not others, just be sure to tell people not to spread the news (or who they can talk to about it). 
Beyond that…I tried to celebrate the pregnancy and enjoy it in the early days despite what the outcome would be. No reason not to feel happy/excited while you can and just deal with sad outcomes if they arise.

With our first we told close friends and family right around 11 weeks. Minus our parents. They found at very early on. Maybe 6-7weeks. This time around, I think we will tell close friends and family after our 8week scan. In my mind, worst case I would want a strong support system. So those are the people I feel comfortable telling. We didn’t publicly announce on Facebook until 12-13 weeks with our first. This time around i think we’ll do the same if not later
