My fiancé and I have started to making lists of names we both like for a boy. We both ended up having a boy name at the top of our list that we really like. We both ended up matching the name on a baby name app. There was a girl who I was friends with who named her son this name. Her and I are no longer friends. He wasn’t aware that this girl had a son with this name either. It’s only a debate in my head because we live in a town where everybody knows everybody and I don’t want to deal with any drama. However we are looking at moving outside of this town anyway.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you believe in “baby name stealing” or do you think this is a petty and overthought issue?

Ultimately as long as my family is happy, nothing else matters.
