My kids never experienced all these odd symptoms people talk about. Teething causes teeth and maybe drool.

My boy always seemed super sick when his teeth came in, his nose would run and he would have a fever. Overall he was miserable each time

All babies are different. My son would stop sleeping and eating when he was teething. Sometimes he’d have some real bad diapers. 
I had custody of a little boy who got an ear infection every time he cut a tooth. 
Some babies get cold symptoms.

Yup and mine constantly had ear infections because of any drainage!

They can get a tiny bit of clear, but full on runny, thick, or any coloration is illness.
