Babysitting rates??

How much should I pay my sitter? Monday thru Friday from 9am-5pm? 6 month old.

So $600-$800/week. 
This is a full time nanny job not babysitting. I wouldn’t take less than $20/hr.

That’s a full time job for them so it has to be something someone could live on without needed another job realistically 
I would say at the absolute least it would have to be 400-500 per week

In my area that would be about $600 a week.  $450ish if you're doing cash under the table

Depends on their qualifications. How much experience they have, and a little on how old they are. I would consider that closer to a nannying position since it's consistent schedule with the same person and long hours. Babysitting is usually sporadic and not always the same person. Over the years I've been paid anywhere from 10-25 an hour for a position like that. Currently I am being paid $23 an hour for 2 kids but I have a bachelor's in special education (it's a dual major so I could be a special education teacher or teach a regular class), years of experience in daycares/elementary schools/nanny and babysitting positions, lots of glowing references, certified in CPR and first aid, and have helped many children reach milestones that they had previously been struggling to reach. Personally I currently would not accept anything lower than $13 for long hours like that but since it's one child I'd probably consider $13 as the lowest. That would be about $520 a week.

I always say this but will continue to. I pay $60 a day for two kids which roughly breaks down to $3.75 per hour per kid for daycare. I know everyone immediately jumps to saying minimum wage and/or $15-20 and hour. Most jobs where I live don’t even pay that.
