Advice for egg retrieval?

Going in for my egg retrieval tomorrow and I am a little nervous. Any words of wisdom?

This was hard but once you remember what it’s for you’ll seem to forget. Just stay in bed and rest after. Your almost there!! Good luck

I was worried sick, too. Totally understand but it wasn’t anything at all. I had more severe PMS symptoms than after retrieval discomfort. Maybe I am the exception…For me it was no pain and barely any spotting - had two retrievals so far. (I actually cleaned the house after the first one later that afternoon. 🤷🏻‍♀️)

A heating pad and extra pillows under your legs will be the most helpful! I had more pain than normal after because of leakage around one of my ovaries, so just be sure to listen to your body and give it some rest. Other than that, it wasn’t nearly as bad as I had built it up in my head. Congrats on making it you egg retrieval day!! You got this 💪🏼

Honestly it was so easy! All I remember is seeing my doctor walk in and I knocked out. Woke up feeling great. Only problem I had was bloating for about 4 days and no other pain. Other than that I was back to normal!

Congrats! Definitely have a heating pad and gatorade. I had horrible constipation for days afterwards so wouldn't hurt to have some stool softeners on stand by! Just take it easy and rest, good luck!

I was terrified. I had never had surgery or been put under before. Honestly it was fine. I was home within a couple hours of the procedure. Rest and take it easy the rest of the day 🙂

Both my retrievals were less stress than I worried.  Have a hot water bottle/ heating pad for after. Line up your shows to binge. Lots of Gatorade or whatever electrolyte you want. Good luck!!

I was SO nervous but honestly all I remember is saying my name then falling asleep. I woke up and felt completely normal.
