It depends on the nature of their friendship and my trust in him. My husband had a female coworker that he chose to partner with daily and they texted frequently. I didn’t mind. I’d met her, trusted him, had access to their texts, he’d tell me about their work day and conversations.

Yes. My husband can have friends of the opposite sex. He’s a big boy and able to make choices. I trust him. 
Is there a reason you don’t trust your partner?

My husbands friends sometimes text me - about completely benign things. Whenever they do I tell him about our conversations and if he ever wanted I would show him my phone. He does the same for me though rarely talks to any other women. That being said we trust each other but never want to end up in a situation where trust is questioned. I would be very cautious and set boundaries.

Let me put it this way. I am pansexual (I dont base my attraction on gender; i could be attracted to someone of any gender idenity), does that mean I couldn't have any friends? Because technically, I could be attracted to them if they were male or female or otherwise. I apply that idea to my relationship and do not care who my husband interacts with because it would be absurdly hypocritical of me to do so. I have never cheated on my husband or been inappropriate through texts with any of my friends. It's about trust. If you cannot trust them, you need to reevaluate what you are doing with them.

So long as my husband weren’t like, being fishy and hiding their text conversations, and at least let me meat this friend, I’d be fine. If he were acting differently though, shady and hiding things, I would have issue.

Not if they were texting everyday. My husband has a friend from high school that’s a girl. They’ve always been just friends, they’ll text each other and catch up every once in a while, but if it was a everyday thing I think it’d cross a line.

I’m gonna turn this around and ask how would you feel if your husband was upset your best friend was a male? My best friend is a male and nothing has changed since getting married. I still call and text him.

Texting every day? Lol no. That’s a boundary crossed.

I don’t mind if my partner has friend of opposite sex, but he doesn’t even text his male friends daily so I would consider it weird to be in daily contact with a female.
