I have an 8 month old and I really want another child in the future! My husband on the other hand says he would be okay with having an only child. My immediate reaction was "no way you can't just have one kid! They'll be spoiled! They won't learn how to share or have good social skills!" But that got me thinking... Why do we always say stuff like this about only children?! I know plenty of only children who are fabulous people with great social skills and weren't spoiled at all! But I can't seem to shake this idea out of my head that it's not okay to only have one child. Maybe it's how I was raised or maybe it's just where I'm from. I'm not sure. What's your reaction to only children? Would you be okay with only having one child? Pros vs. Cons? Do you think the idea of a multiple child family is overrated or too expected?
