Are birthing classes offered at the hospital worth it ?

I thought it was helpful because I knew what to expect from my hospital.  I did natural birth classes with my third and fourth instead of facility classes though (mamanatural was great!)

I loved ours! Ours was all about what you wanted, they were really about talking about unmedicated births but also if you wanted an epidural they talked about all of it. They were all about what mom wanted. It depends on your hospital really.

Ours was free but it didn’t really help much. There’s so many ways things can go when you’re in labor.

We really enjoyed ours but our hospital is very mom-centered and open to a wide variety of birthing options. One of the nights we talked about pain management but it was all types of options - medicated and non-medicated. We practiced the non-medicated options. Our class was taught by a labor nurse, midwife, and a doula.

Depends on the kind of birth you want. If you want to go natural/unmedicated, definitely seek out something else.
