Lend bf money, now he won’t pay back.

I lend my bf $400 through chase Zelle because he said he didn’t have enough funds to pay his car payments deducted from his card. I lent it to him with the condition that he pay me back in cash that same night we were suppose to hang out. We ended up not seeing each other last night. Today I reminded him that he owes me money and now he’s acting stupid saying he doesn’t know what I’m talking about and how he never received it. I told him I know you’re not seriously trying to steal from me. You asked me for help and I gave you a hand and now you’re trying to rob from me. I told him my Zelle clearly showed he accepted it and he said he wants to see it.

I’m honestly really mad right now. I wouldn’t have lent him money if I knew i was going to struggle to get it back. Should I call his dad and tell him? Cause honestly at this point if I don’t get it back I will have to go to small court claims.
